Police Respect Life Please!

I saw this piece of art on my way out of Baltimore to head back to Newark, NJ for my film premiere. It just so happened that the end of our time in Baltimore coincided with the non guilty verdict of one of the police officers involved in the murder of Freddie Gray. It got me thinking about how just last year Baltimore was the scene of unrest and for better or worse how quickly the public tends to forget about these aspects of our society after they are no longer steadily in the news. Regardless, it is only through communication and cooperation that we can tackle these complex issues such as police brutality and projects like “In Search Of the Truth,” that amplify the voice of the people, are necessary to help achieve this.
