Al llegar a este lugar mágico, nos recibió con un mercado nocturno de artesanías típicas del estado de Chiapas. Dimos un pequeño paseo intentando conocer un poco sobre esta ciudad.

Al día siguiente visitamos el mercado, lo que nos sorprendió por su diversidad y su gran tamaño. Fue una mezcla total de todo lo que pudieras necesitar, desde comida, ropa, frutas, servicios y artesanías. Íbamos por la idea de hacer una cortina para la cabina, así que buscamos una costurera, amable y muy rápida. . También fue para encontrarnos con mucho contraste, lugares muy turísticos y lugares donde se puede ver gente trabajadora, que se esfuerza y sale a luchar.

El lunes, comenzamos el montaje dentro del MUSAC, en el Parque de los Arcos. con un gran recibimiento con políticos estatales, personas importantes, medios de comunicación y una gran ceremonia de estilo mexicano. Con un corte de cinta, muchas palabras y como primeros participantes, los invitados a la ceremonia de inauguración. (Yksmark Kramsky, Director del Museo)

La respuesta de la gente en este lugar fue increíble, ya que no importa el idioma o la identidad, las personas querían participar. (Conocimos a personas que hablaron en tzotzil)

Arriving at this magical place, we were received with a night market of typical crafts of the state of Chiapas. We took a short walk trying to know a little about this city.

The next day we visited the market, which surprised us by its diversity and its large size. It was a total mix of everything you could need, from food, clothes, fruits, services and crafts… We were going with the idea of ​​making a curtain for the cabin, so we found a seamstress, 2 friendly women who sewed it very quickly. We also found ourselves with a lot of contrast to the very touristy blocks around the central park and places where hardworking people, working people can be seen.

On Monday, we started the installation inside the MUSAC, in the Parque de los Arcos, with a great reception of state politicians, prominent locals, media with a great Mexican style ceremony. With a cut of the ribbon, many words, and our first participants, we launched the Gira de México.  Thanks to Yksmark Kramsky, Director of the Museum.

The response of the people here was amazing.  No matter the language or identity, people they wanted to participate. We even met people who spoke in Tzotzil.
